Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival to San José
Welcome to the country, meet and great at your hotel in San José.
Day 2
San José / Arenal Volcano (Full Board)
Departure early in the morning to the Arenal Volcano, this is one of the most active volcanoes in America. This
experience is unforgettable because of the amazing and surprising things like feeling the ground tremble and
seeing the nightly sky exploded with ash and lava in a natural firework. Next, you will visit the hot springs of
the volcano, where you can relax in the soothing waters and be caressed by the cool night air, while observing
the stars and the incredible sky above the volcano. When you arrive, we will receive you with a splendid dinner.
This is an absolutely amazing evening you will not want to miss in Costa Rica!
On this tour we will also visit the town of Sarchí, well known for the beauty of the handcrafts they produce.
Day 3
Arenal Volcano / Manuel Antonio (Breakfast)
Breakfast and morning free for your last chance to admire this beautiful place. After lunch, departure transfer
to the Central Pacific.
Day 4
Manuel Antonio (Breakfast)
Breakfast, take a leisurely stroll or an intense hike through our exotic, bio-diverse tropical rain forest preserved
in our 32 year old national treasure, Manuel Antonio National Park. Watch sloths and numerous species of
monkeys travel through the tree canopy, hunt for nocturnal silky anteaters and several types of non-poisonous snakes resting in the tropical
rain forest, and listen to the songs of the various birds as they glide above your group, curiously looking for adventure. If you so desire,
hike additionally through the trails and enjoy unspoiled, un-crowded, pristine beaches after your guided educational adventure ends.
Day 5
Manuel Antonio (Breakfast)
Breakfast and day at leisure, enjoy the sun & beach, relax at the hotel or take and optional tour.
Day 6
Manuel Antonio / Uvita (Breakfast)
Breakfast and at the according time departure for your transfer to Uvita for your next 5nights.
Day 7
Uvita – Whales & Dolphins (Breakfast)
Breakfast. Early departure to you tour: Whale watching, dolphin encounters, snorkeling, a visit to natural
water caves! During the tour search for humpback whales, listen to their love songs and feel the great sensation
of watching a mammal that weighs more than 40 tons jump out of the water and splash its gigantic
tail. Snorkel and observe dolphins, turtles, bi-color parrot fish and more! Return to the hotel late in the afternoon.
Day 8
Uvita / Corcovado (Breakfast)
Early departure from Dominical, taking the Costanera Highway along the Pacific Ocean for about 90 minutes to Sierpe. We will stop there
to have breakfast (not included). You will then take a comfortable 90 minute boat ride through the largest area of mangrove swamps in
Central America. The mangroves are inhabited by crocodiles, snakes, four species of monkeys, and a great variety of birds. Once through
the Sierpe River mouth we'll boat past two of the most scenic areas in the country, Drake Bay and the Marenco Biological Reserve. We
will hope to see Humpback, Pilot and Killer Whales along the way. When we get to the park our bilingual naturalist guide will lead you on
a 3 hour walking tour of a pristine primary forest. The hike ends at the rangers station where we will provide a delicious picnic lunch surrounded
Day 9 - 10
Uvita (Breakfast)
Breakfast and day at leisure for a possible visit to Ballena or Ventanas Beach and enjoy the sun and beach.
Day 11
Uvita / San José (Breakfast)
After breakfast transfer back to San José for your last night in Costa Rica.
Day 12
Departure to your country (Breakfast)
Breakfast. At the according time transfer to the International Airport for you flight back home
