Itinerary

Day 1

Rio de Janeiro

Arrival in Rio and transfer to selected Hotel.
Day 2

Rio de Janeiro

Breakfast in hotel.
Full day tour: Sugar Loaf & Corcovado Tour: Passing by some of Rio’s beaches and by Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, and proceeding as far as Cosme Velho Station to board a cog-train for the ride through Tijuca Forest up Corcovado Mountain. The train ride takes 20 minutes and is a wonderful opportunity for a closer look to the forest’s lush tropical vegetation and to enjoy scenic landscapes of the beaches and city. Disembarking at the top of Corcovado and then proceeding up the steps that lead to the top lookout where the towering statue of Christ the Redeemer stands. After appreciating the breathtaking view unfolding below, passengers will descend by train and head to a restaurant for lunch. Proceeding after lunch along Rio’s beaches as far as Urca District to board a cable car for a two-staged ascent up Sugar Loaf Mountain. Then coming down and proceeding along Guanabara Bay and Flamengo Park as far as downtown. Visiting downtown area, passing by the financial and business center and by other attractions such as the City Palace, Candelaria Church, Saint Sebastian Cathedral, Lapa Arches, Municipal Theatre, National Library, Fine Arts Museum, and by the Sambadrome, site of Rio’s famous Carnival parade.
Day 3

Rio de Janeiro

Breakfast in Hotel. Day at leisure in Rio to enjoy the world-renowned beaches or take some optional tours (at additional cost).
Day 4

Rio de Janeiro - Lima

Breakfast.
Transfer to the airport on time for your flight to Lima, Peru. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to selected hotel.
Day 5

Lima

Breakfast in hotel. Half day city tour.
This three-hour sightseeing tour offers the best of colonial and modern Lima. Included are Lima's most imposing colonial churches and mansions such as the Government Palace, the Plaza Mayor, the City Hall and the Cathedral, including 17th century San Francisco Monastery. The tour ends with a visit to the modern suburbs of San Isidro, where a visit to the pre-Inca pyramid of Huaca Huallamarca (closed Mondays) and on-site museum is included before continuing to Miraflores, which overlooks the Pacific Ocean.
Overnight.
Day 6

Lima - Cuzco

After an early breakfast, a schedule transfer from the hotel to the airport to take the flight to Cusco, Upon arriving at Cusco, reception and transfer to the selected hotel. At the scheduled time, there is a guided tour to the city and surrounded ruins starting by the Cathedral, very important for its architecture and collection of canvases from the “Escuela Cusqueña” (Academy of Cusco), the Temple of the Sun or “Koricancha”, where the Spanish people built the Convent of Santo Domingo, and the archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman, Q'enqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay. Return to the hotel.
Day 7

Cuzco - Machu Picchu

Breakfast at Hotel.
Transfer to the train station. Departure for Machu Picchu in a panoramic ride which takes three hours and a half. Arival to Aguas Calientes. Transfer to the citadel by a bus shuttle service. Guided tour throughout the Sacred Citadel of the Incas. The visit includes the the Intihuatana, the Solar Clock, the Watchtower, the Incas Palace, the Three Windows etc. Return to Cuzco.
Day 8

Cuzco - Lima

Breakfast at Hotel. Transfer to the airport for flight to Lima and International flight connection.
