Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive to San José
Welcome at the airport and transfer to San José.
Day 2
Tour to the Irazú Volcano (Half Board)
Breakfast. The trip begins ascending the breathtaking summit of the Irazu Volcano for a view of the massive crater.. After an exciting tour at the volcano, we will descend to the historical city of Carta-go. Here we will visit the mysterious ruins of the old Paris and view the beautiful Basilica of our "Virgen de los Angeles" with rich displays of carvings, statues and art. We will drive to the Lankester Gardens. The Lankaster Gardens are a Tropical Paradise featuring over 800 varieties of exotic or-chids, various tropical flowers, and plant life. This tour continues with a ride through the unique beauty of the famous Orosi Valley and Reventazón River, the area is known for its rich soil, abun-dant plant life, and the outstanding coffee plantations. We will have a stop for lunch in a restaurant. Along the way, we will visit one of the oldest colonial .
Day 3
San José / Arenal Volcano (B)
Breakfast. A representative of the rent a car will contact you in the respective hotel and give you the car. Then if you want you will drive across the province of Alajuela to initiate the ascent in the middle of coffee plantations until arriv-ing at the Poás Volcano National Park, which is one of the biggest craters of the world and it rises ap-proximately al about 2 700 meters above the sea level. After visiting the Poás Volcano (entrance not included), you will travel to the plains of the north, specifically to the area of Arenal Volcano to spend here the night.
Day 4
Arenal Volcano (B)
Breakfast. Day of leisure to explore all the hidden world of the Volcano surroundings. Optional tour to La Fortuna Waterfall, visit the Tabacón Hot Springs or walk in the hanging bridges.
Day 5
Arenal/ Rincón de la Vieja (B)
Breakfast. Drive from Arenal bordering the Arenal Lake to Rincon de la Vieja National Park. On the way you can stop for an optional floating tour at the Corobicí River.
Day 6
Rincón de la Vieja (B)
Breakfast. Day at leisure, explore by yourself the mud pot in the park or practice the Canopy tour.
Day 7
Rincón de la Vieja / North Pacific Beaches (B)
reakfast and departure to the north pacific beach of Guanacaste well known around the World due to its beauty.
Day 8 - 9
North Pacific Beaches (B)
Breakfast. Day at leisure!!!.
Day 10
North Pacific Beaches / San José (B)
Breakfast. Drive back to San José on the way you can stop for an optional visit at Sarchí town.
Day 11
Departure al your Country (B)
Breakfast. Drop the car off at the rent a car office at the airport. From there you will be transfered to the International Airport. Fly back home.
