Meet and greet upon arrival or pickup in Belize City and transfer to Tony's Inn for overnight accommodations on the outskirts of Corozal, the northern part of the country.
Day 2
Lamanai
Early morning rise and transfer to the toll bridge where you board a boat that will take you upriver to the site of Lamanai. On the river trip you will be able to observe the flora and fauna and also view the iguanas sunning themselves. Overnight at Tony's Inn.
Day 3
Corozal
This will be a long but adventurous day. Early departure by boat across the bay to the Mayan site of Cerros, located on the ancient circum-peninsula trading route of the Mayas. Tour returns and then visits the Mayan site of Santa Rita in the outskirts of Corozal Town. Lunch will be served on site, with the cool breezes on the Caribbean Sea. After lunch, visit the Mayan site of Cuello. Overnight at Tony's Inn.
Day 4
Altun Ha
Early morning transfer to the Belize District where you will visit the Mayan site of Altun Ha. This site is unique in that it is the most excavated of all sites in Belize. This is the site where the Mayan jade head was discovered. After lunch the tour goes to the Archaeological Vault in Belmopan, the capital city of the country of Belize. The vault is open only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Overnight at Windy Hill Cottages.
Day 5
Xunantunich
This morning, we awaken to the raucous chorus of the jungle and take an early breakfast. Transfer to Xunantunich, which rises to 130 ft. 'El Castillo' , as it is commonly known, offers a panoramic view of Belize and Guatemala. After lunch, you will visit Cahal Pech, a small and recently excavated Mayan site on the outskirts of San Ignacio. Overnight at Windy Hills Cottages.
Day 6
Belize City
Early morning transfer to one of the biggest and newest Mayan sites in Belize: Caracol. On returning to the hotel, you will visit the Rio On pools for swimming or refreshment. Overnight at Windy Hills Cottages.
Day 7
Belize City
Morning transfer to the Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport for your connecting flight back home. All meals are included!!!!!!
