This package gives you the opportunity to get the best out of cosmopolitan Athens and traditional central Greece along with a first acquaintance with the life of the Greek islanders. Experience the vibrant city of Athens and its unique sites. Heave your anchor for a mini cruise to the picturesque islands of Hydra, Poros and Aegina. Then enjoy mainland's diverse and majestic natural environment, traditional villages and dramatic settings. Experience a first-hand feel at some of the most spectacular ancient sites that embody the rich Greek history, including Epidavros, Mycenae, the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus where one of the seven wonders of the ancient world was hosted, the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, and last but not least the astonishing rock formations of majestic Meteora.

Itinerary

Day 1

Athens

On arrival you will be met by our assistant and transferred to your hotel by our Mini Bus or by taxi driver. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2

Athens

After breakfast we meet you at your hotel or close by, in order to start the morning half day Athens sightseeing tour (visit our tour section for more information).
Day 3

Athens

07.30 a.m. Transfer by motor coach from Athens centre to Piraeus port to embark on the cruise ship in order to start the full day cruise to the 3 beautiful Islands Hydra - Poros - Aegina which are nearby Athens (lunch on board is included). Arrival at Piraeus port at 7.15 p.m. and transfer you back to your hotel in Athens.
Day 4

Athens - Olympia

Early in the morning, departure for a 4 day classical tour. Today visit ancient Mycenae and Epidaurus theatre, famous for its acoustics. After a short stop at Nafplion depart for Olympia through the central Peloponnesus. Overnight in Olympia.
Day 5

Olympia - Delphi

In the morning visit the sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the ancient stadium and the archaeological museum. Drive on through the plains of Ilia and Achaia and over the magnificent cable stayed bridge of Rio-Antirio. Arrive in Delphi, overnight.
Day 6

Delphi - Kalambaka

 In the morning visit the archaeological site and the museum. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town situated at the foot of the astonishing rock formations of Meteora. Overnight in Kalambaka.
Day 7

Kalambaka - Athens

Visit Meteora. Amidst striking scenery, perched on huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air, stand ageless monasteries where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. Return to Athens for overnight stay.
Day 8

Athens - Airport

After breakfast you will be met by our assistant at your hotel and transferred to the airport by our Mini Bus or by taxi driver for your departure flight.
