On arrival you will be met by our assistant and transferred to your hotel by our minibus or taxi driver. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2
Athens
After breakfast we meet you at your hotel or close by, in order to start the morning half day Athens sightseeing tour.
This tour gives you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city.
Our expert guides will take you to see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896 (short stop).
Continue and pass by the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma).
On the Acropolis visit the Architectural Masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally "the harmony between material and spirit", the monument that "puts order in the mind", the Parthenon.
Continue and visit the place where at last the statues found their home and admire the wonders of the classical era: The Acropolis museum.
Day 3
Athens - Mykonos
Morning transfer from your hotel to the port by our taxi driver to embark on the ferry to Mykonos. On arrival you have a transfer to your selected hotel for 2 nights stay.
Day 4
Mykonos
Day free to laze in the sunshine on one of the island's endless sandy beaches and then maybe party the night away.
Day 5
Mykonos - Athens - Delphi
Transfer from Mykonos Hotel to Port. Arrive at Athens and transfer to Delphi via Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque village of Arachova (short stop). Arrival in Delphi, visit the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios and the Museum. Afternoon free. Dinner and overnight stay. (D)
Day 6
Delphi - Meteora
Morning free. Leave Delphi for an interesting trip through Central Greece and the town of Lamia to Kalambaka. Dinner and overnight stay. (B,D)
Day 7
Meteora - Athens
Visit Meteora. Amidst striking scenery, perched on huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air, stand ageless monasteries where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (visit the monument of Leonidas). Arrive in Athens early in the evening.
Day 8
Athens
Pick up from your Athens hotel and transfer to Airport.
