Day 1

Arequipa

This tour includes a visit to the most visited places in Arequipa: Carmen Alto Viewpoint, with a wonderful view of the Chilina Valley; also Yanahuara viewpoint, composed of a series of sillar stone arches with a view of Arequipa City and Misti volcano; Saint Lazarus neighborhood; Santa Catalina Monastery; Plaza de Armas or “Arequipa's Main Square”; the Cathedral and the Jesuit Church of La Compañía. Includes: transportation, guide, and admissions. Duration: approximately 3 hours Daily departures twice a day: 9:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M.
Day 2

Arequipa - Colca Valley

After breakfast, the tour begins with an early bus ride trough the district of Yura, passing by Mount Chachani, then National Reserve of Pampa Cañahuas, where groups of vicuñas, llamas, alpacas and other indigenous species can be seen. We continue through Vizcachani, Pampas de Toccra, where we can observe a variety of birds, then we border the Chucuna Crater to arrive to Patapampa (15748.0316 ft) and “Mirador de Los Andes” where you can watch the volcano’s that surround the city. Then we go down Chivay town to have lunch (included). Accommodation in the hotel (not included) and in the afternoon we will visit “La Calera” natural thermal baths. Dinner at night (included)
Day 3

Colca Valley - Arequipa

After an early breakfast, the tour starts with a bus ride to Cruz del Cóndor (25.5 miles from Chivay). This place has a wonderful view of the Colca canyon and the flight of the Andean condors. The tour continues with a visit to the villages of Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma, Yanque as well as the Viewpoints of Antahuilque and Choquetico. Return to Chivay around noon for lunch. The return trip to Arequipa goes through Patapampa Pass (16,076 ft.) with a stops at the Andes viewpoint. The Andes viewpoint has a view of the magnificent Chila Mountain Range with the peaks Mismi, Chucura and Huarancante. Further away the volcanos Ubinas, Misti, Chachani, Ampato, Sabancaya and Hualca Hualca can be seen. The journey continues through the Chucura crater and along the Toccra Pampa, where there is a beautiful “Bofedal” (a sort of peat-bog or plant) with a great variety of Andean birds. After approximately 4 hours, the trip ends in Arequipa. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
