• Half day city tour & Sugar loaf

During a half day city tour the most important sights of Rio will be shown. Driving along Guanabara Bay and Flamengo Park as far as downtown. Visit of the downtown area, passing by the financial and business center and by other attractions such as the Candelaria Church, Saint Sebastian Cathedral, Lapa Arches, Municipal Theatre, National Library, Fine Arts Museum, and by the Sambadrome, site of Rio’s famous Carnival parade. Proceeding to the Urca District to board a cable car for a two-staged ascent up Sugar Loaf Mountain.

 DAY 03    MONDAY RIO DE JANEIRO

Optional half day visit to the Corcovado
Another famous symbol of Rio de Janeiro - the Corcovado, the hunch-backed peak surmounted by a 38m high statue of Christ the Redeemer. After a short drive through the old and the modern Rio de Janeiro visit of the Corcovado by taking the cog railway which will lead to the top. After leaving the small train station one still has to climb 220 steps to the top in order to enjoy a spectacular view of Rio.

 DAY 04    TUESDAY RIO DE JANEIRO - IGUASSU

• Visit Brazilian falls (approx. 2,5 hours)

In the morning leave Rio de Janeiro and take a flight to Iguassu. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and check-in. Iguassu is one of the biggest wonders of nature in South America: located amidst a sub-tropical forest in the triangle of Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil, a gigantic row of waterfalls goes down into the river Iguazu.
Later in the day visit to the Brazilian side of the falls.
Leaving from the hotel by coach and crossing Iguassu National Park as far as the Brazilian Falls. Walking along the paths following cascades and then walking along the catwalk that leads very close to the bottom of the Devil’s Throat to enjoy magnificent views. Taking an elevator to go up to the road, and there boarding the coach to get back to the hotel.

 DAY 05    WEDNESDAY IGUASSU

• Visit Argentinean falls (approx. 4 hours)

Today visit of the Argentinean side of the falls. Leaving from the hotel on the Brazilian side for a drive and a quick customs check, crossing the Tancredo Neves bridge over the Iguassu River, which forms the border between Argentina & Brazil. Once in Argentina, tour takes a scenic highway up the Argentinean Iguassu National Park. Tour starts with ample time to visit Argentinean falls. Stopping at the Visitors’ Centre and proceeding from there the Superior Circuit, the up-river cascades, to the Inferior Circuit, the down-river falls and then takes the Ecological Jungle Train that leads visitors to and from the most impressive observation point of the falls – The Devil's Throat. Return to the hotel.

In the morning transfer to the colonial city of Ouro Preto, which is located 100 km from Belo Horizonte. In the 18th century Ouro Preto have been the centre of the Golden Dream. After arrival start for a full day tour of Ouro Preto including lunch. In the 18th century gold brought wealth to this city. Its cobbled streets wind up and down steep hills crowned with 13 churches, Mansions, fountains, vistas of terraced gardens, ruins, towers shining with colored tiles, all blend together to maintain a delightful 18th century atmosphere. Ouro Preto was declared World Heritage by UNESCO; it is definitely a highlight of every trip to Brazil.
Later in the afternoon drive back to your hotel in Belo Horizonte.

Transfer to the airport for flight via Sao Paulo to Manaus. Here your tour starts at the Amazon Ecopark Lodge or to the Tiwa Lodge. The Amazon Ecopark Lodge is located in Rio Tarumγ - a tributary of Rio Negro -approximately one hour from Manaus airport (30 minutes by boat from the Tropical Hotel pier), in the middle of the Amazon Forest. Over 6 miles of jungle trails enable the client to explore the jungle, orchids and giant trees. Amazon Ecopark Lodge offers 60 apartments in 20 bungalows (3 each), made of wood. The apartments' entrance, porch and bathroom are completely independent, are all air conditioned, with hot shower and screened windows. Rustic, but also charming decoration.

The Tiwa Amazon Lodge with an area of 4 km² has the comfort of a resort associated to jungle lodge facilities at the same time. The resort was built around a pretty tropical lake in the right riverbank of the Negro River surrounded by the forest, even though, close to Manaus city. The transfer from the port to the lodge takes just 20 minutes across the giant Negro River. Each of the 32 spacious bungalow is divided in two chalets with private bathroom and veranda with a pleasant view to the lake.
In the evening enjoy a buffet dinner. After dark an alligator-watching tour is offered.

In the morning starts a sightseeing tour. The Historical Center of Salvador, now a national monument and also protected by UNESCO is the highlight of each tour to Salvador. Salvador da Bahia is famous for its traditions and Afro-Brazilian customs. The tour will show its colorful buildings, baroque style churches and convents dating from the 17th and 18th century.
The afternoon is free for leisure.

1. Departure is guaranteed with a minimum of 02 participants. The operation of the tour can only be guaranteed by the end of the cancellation deadline, which is 36 days prior to departure.

2. Transfers and excursions include local, English speaking guides.

3. Ole is in charge of the internal flight reservation. Ole will invoice you for the flight tickets.

4. Our prices include taxes, entrance fees, tax & service charge in the hotels and the obligatory luggage fees at the airports and in the hotels. Meals are included as and when mentioned in our program (B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner)

5. Our prices do not include: airport taxes, airfares, personal expenses, extras in the hotels, tips, etc.

6. Ole has the right to sell this tour to other interested persons without any exception.

7. Cancellation is free of charge till 60 days prior to departure. From the 59th day until the 31st day prior departure the cancellation fee will be maximum 50% of the total amount. From the 30th day until departure day 100% of the total amount may be charged as cancellation fee.

8. Please inquire at the competent authorities about the actual entry permit, validity of passports and the regulations of vaccinations.
